Designated fun areas

If you join a platform, Discord server, forum, community, group, or other place that has a designated area for happy things and you go in there and talk about depressing shit you’re a horrible person and you need to stop trying to make everybody else around you miserable.
A Discord I’m in has a channel specifically for memes, it’s supposed to be a nice happy place where people post funny things. The concept is simple and anybody with a working brain can understand how it works at first glance. But as I type this people are talking about the most depressing shit because a meme reminded them of it and I’m doing everything in my power not to yell at them to cut it out.
Holy shit, just go somewhere else if you want to bring everybody else down with you, not the only fucking channel on the Discord dedicated to making people laugh. The server has plenty of channels that would fit your depressing story much better.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
